What happens when you combine a driving range, some champagne with a group of talented talkers who have just found out One Direction are performing at the O2 Arena only moments away? Yep, a solid attempt at trying to get as many golf balls all in that One Direction. Sadly, there wasn’t anyone among us that could swing that far but it’s safe to say we all tried our best.
Monarch Airlines kindly hosted an evening to bring to life their Golf Holidays which are based in some of the best locations in Europe. The evening was held at N1 Golf in Greenwich, a part of town I’ve never stepped foot in before so I decided to do something else I’ve never done before- Take the Thames Clippers from Embankment and enjoy the ride all the way down the river. N1 Golf has uninterrupted views of The City and looks precious under any light. Take a look at this photo that Olivia, Editor of Beauty From The Fjord took at sunset…
Not only were we given some lessons, tips and tricks by Professional Golf Manager, Mark Gorman, we were also looked after quite generously by the staff at Vinothec Compass who pampered us with fine Iberian food and wine. We were also given some varieties of beer to try but I am not a fan of any kind of beer and believe me, I’ve tried to be. So bring on that red wine, I always enjoy sampling from different regions of Europe.
I’m still thinking about these tuna steaks….
Looking for some time away or a weekend break? Monarch has the perfect Golf Holiday for you! Whether you’re after some time in Spain, Cyprus or Portugal, perhaps The Canary Islands is more your thing, take a look at Monarch’s site I’m confident you’ll find exactly what you need at an affordable price.
On the other hand, you could do my friend Olivia a favour and help her figure out where to use her return tickets she won on the night. Olivia won the social media contest for the extraordinary photograph of the sunset at N1 Golf (refer to beginning of post). What a champion! Funnily enough we were talking about how she’d never won any contest at any event we’d been to as we were making our way back to the Vinothec Compass dining area. And then this happened…
What a champion!
I keep telling her visit Barcelona but she seems to need a little more convincing.
