I have discovered a whole new world and love in my own country, Croatia. Some could assume I was already asking for this type of love as I have been declaring that I’m looking for my ‘Truffle King of Croatia‘ for the past 12 months now.  I did manage to meet the Truffle Queen of Croatia, Visnja from Prodan Tartufi, you can only imagine the trip I have organised for my team later in the year.

Forget Dubrovnik, overpriced and overrated- fine, go and do your Game of Thrones Tour. Forget Hvar City or Zrce Beach, who wants to be surrounded by drunken Brits, anyway?

Let’s talk about Rovinj.

Rovinj is located on the western coastline of the Adriatic sea and locals speak both Croatian and Italian. The western county of Croatia is referred to as Istria and boy have I found a love there like no other. I love the food, I love the people, I love the air, I am even convinced that the birds sing and fly differently in Istria.

Despite the clouds coming out full force on show, followed by some rain, Rovinj’s sunset made up for it all afterwards. Not a single image from Rovinj has a filter and I have a video on my youtube channel to prove it all.

I don’t really want to dwell too much in this post because I did only spend an afternoon in Rovinj and will be back for much longer end of September this year but I just want to update you with some pictures and hopefully entice you to swing by an visit.
